COVID-19 /Ramadan: MSSN FUTA Distributes Ramadan Packages to FUTA Muslim Students
The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Federal University of Technology Akure Branch has succesfully distributed Ramadan relief packages to some of the Muslim students that are still on campus. The contents of the packages include rice, groundnut oil, and beans.
The society also ensured that iftar was held occasionally for the Students during the cause of Ramadan 1441AH (Ramadan 2020).
The Ramadan packages were given out as a part of the MSSN FUTA’s welfare effort to cushion the effects of the COVID-19 lockdown on students who were still present on campus during the period.
The president of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, Federal University of Tecnology, Akure, Ameer Ismail Abdulhafeez and his vice, the Naibul-Ameer, Brother Abdulrahman Abdulbasit mentioned that the Ramadan packages was majorly facilitated by generous individuals and organisations.
The Naibul-Ameer in furtherance, stated that the beneficiaries were profoundly grateful and appreciative towards the organisers and sponsors for their kindness, and generosity and prayed that may Almighty Allah reward them abundantly and immensely and also everyone who was instrumental in making the Ramadan relief package come into fruition.
The Ameer, in his final statement appealed to Nigerians, most especially Muslims, to be kind and helpful towards one another during this trying times of COVID-19.

MSSN FUTA being under zone B, Ondo area unit, Akure area council in the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria hierarchy was founded Shaban 12, 1373 AH (April 18, 1954 AD) and duly registered with the management of Federal University of technology, Akure.
