‎From determination to Distinction: Nasifdeen’s First Class Story in FUTA.‎‎

Nasifdeen Ajibola Adeleke, a first-class graduate of Industrial Production Engineering (IPE) from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), recently shared his inspiring academic journey in an interview with Al-Furqan Press.‎‎From the outset, Nasifdeen set a clear goal to graduate with first-class honours. As a dedicated engineering student with a strong passion for academics, he worked consistently and diligently to turn that dream into reality.‎‎A look into his academic approach reveals the foundation of his success. He describes himself as a keen listener and active learner, gaining over 70% of his understanding directly from classroom teaching, which allowed him to spend less time on revision.

His ability to absorb knowledge efficiently gave him an edge throughout his studies.‎‎Beyond personal study, Nasifdeen found purpose in helping others. He committed himself to tutoring fellow students, offering support in difficult courses, and motivating Muslim students to strive for academic excellence. His contribution extended beyond academics, inspiring others to pursue success while remaining firm in their faith.‎‎Crucially, Nasifdeen believes that success is not achieved in isolation. He attributed part of his academic excellence to active participation in study groups, use of online resources, and mentorship, all of which helped him tackle challenges and stay focused.‎‎

He also credited his parents as a major source of support, emotionally and spiritually. He dedicated his achievement to them, describing their encouragement as a driving force behind his perseverance.‎‎Nasifdeen’s academic journey wasn’t without obstacles. Yet, in his words, he never stopped hoping for first class, a goal he held on to until it became reality. With a CGPA of 4.75, he graduated as one of the top students in his department.‎‎To fellow Muslim students, Nasifdeen offers this advice: “Believe in yourself. Convince yourself that you can achieve excellence, and work diligently towards it. Put your trust in Allah and never give up.”
