Truth be told, it’s not easy to be a female. They’re special breeds of Allah Aazawajal. Apart from childbearing, cooking skills is almost a natural skill adepth and expected of the female folk. They can cook sumptuous delicacies that turns the head and makes you get your tongue bitten. They are nothing but blessings from Allah.

Ramadan is a holy month of fasting and worship. To begin the fast, you need to eat good food (not the regular concoction you prepare as a bachelor). And good food cannot cook itself you know? It must be cooked by a Professional who knows her onions. This is where the culinary skills of our women comes to play. They wake up as early as possible to prepare Sahur—the meal to be eaten by the family.

Again, in the evening, just before sunset, they begin the preparation of the family Iftar too. It’s not easy. They’re also expected to fast, observe prayers and nawaafils, read the Qur’an, attend to the needs of the home including that of the husband if married; And do other good deeds to earn Allah’s Rahmah too—they equally want to enter Jannah, of course; But this is exclusively out of their house chores. Our sisters, moms, wives and daughters really deserve accolades. They deserve to be showered encomiums for their hard work in Ramadan.
