The undergraduate academic excellence of Abdulbaseet Abideen began in the year 2019/2020 in Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA). He was given admission into the Department of Civil Engineering, where he graduated with first-class honors.‎‎Abdulbaseet disclosed his slight aversion to reading, but he was always persistent with activities that would create and add value to his career by listening in classes and always being prepared to explain concepts during tutorials for students.‎‎He was lenient and lethargic towards academics in his first year at the university. However, his first semester’s result of 4.85 ignited a passion and convinced him to strive for first-class honors.‎‎

Abdulbaseet has always been a shoulder to rely on and a source of motivation for departmental mates, lower-level students, and Muslim students who quench their thirst for knowledge through him.‎‎He described MSSN-FUTA as a haven that shields, guides, and supports his academic success through incessant tutorials, treated past questions, and intelligent tutors who take the time to explain academic concepts.‎‎His journey was marked by repeated efforts, a lucrative mindset to achieve first-class honors, and dedication to academic excellence.‎‎

Beyond the corners of the classroom, he was an MSSN-FUTA executive identified for diligence and capability. His prowess for responsibilities did not deny him from having a GPA of 5.0 in the 2023/24 second semester when he was the Jihad Week chairman.‎‎ Abdulbaseet is now a graduate who acknowledged the significance of MSSN-FUTA in his life and advises every Muslim not to distance themselves from the society’s guidance, and to start reading early for examinations.‎‎ He emphasized the essence of study groups, online resources, and determination to persevere through every challenging situation. Both freshers and returning students should prioritize their time. ‎‎During his interview, he expressed gratitude to the executives who supported him throughout his journey, especially during his tenure as Jihad Week chairman.‎‎

Lastly, he stated that graduating with a first-class degree is not a readily available achievement; it must be earned.‎‎
