NHICOMS, the National Higher Institution Convention of Muslim Students, is an annual gathering orchestrated by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) for students in higher institutions nationwide. It serves as a nexus for intellectual discussions, spiritual rejuvenation, and social interactions among Muslim students.

This convention encompasses diverse activities, such as lectures on Islamic topics, workshops, paper presentations, debates, competitions, Islamic quiz contests, Ta’alim (religious teachings), Dawah (outreach) activities, exhibitions, campus tours, sports competitions, and networking opportunities.

A major highlight on the MSSN B-Zone calendar, NHICOMS draws participants from across Nigeria, offering a significant opportunity for students to engage with Islamic scholars, connect with peers, and enhance their skills and knowledge.

NHICOMS addresses various themes, tackling pertinent issues affecting the Muslim community or society at large. Recent themes include “When will the help of Allah come?” and “Empowering Muslim Women: Education, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship.”

This convention has played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of numerous Nigerian Muslim students, providing a platform for Islamic knowledge development, leadership skills, critical thinking, and fostering a sense of community.

Beyond benefiting students, NHICOMS contributes positively to Nigerian society, promoting peace building, national development, and encouraging Muslim students to be constructive contributors in their communities.
