The Virtues of the Tenth Day of Muharram

Asalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh dear brethren
THE VIRTUES OF THE TENTH DAY OF MUHARRAM.
The tenth day of Muharram (the first month of the Hijrah Calendar and one of the four sacred months) is known as the day of ‘Ashura.
This is the day that Allah (Azzawajal) granted Prophet Musa (A.S) victory over Fir’aun (Pharaoh) and his entire army. Allah SWT made Musa and the Children of Israel to cross the sea while leaving Fir’aun (an enemy of Allah) to drown with his entire army.
Indeed in these stories, there are a lot of lessons to learn!
Due to this event, Allah’s Messenger (S.A.W) strongly recommends that Muslims fast on this day. Some of the virtues of this day are listed in the channel below.

IN ADDITION:
As Muslims, we are encouraged to fast a day before (i.e. 9th of Muharram) or a day after (i.e. 11th of Muharram) or both. However, we should endeavor not to miss the 10th day at all.
May Almighty Allah make it easy, grant us success in this life and the hereafter and grant us victory over the disbelieving people.
